What it is
A vocational-training knowledge assistant built for the AusbilderInnen Community at CODIP, TU Dresden — Germany's network of workplace trainers (AusbilderInnen). It answers real questions about training regulations, exam procedures, and workplace practice, sourced from the community's own documents and forum discussions rather than a generic model's priors.
Why it's here
Every name in this site's design language — pond, Lernhappen, picnic, shed, Rundholz — is lifted directly from renate.chat's own codebase. The metaphor wasn't invented for gardening.tilde.style; gardening.tilde.style inherited it. That makes renate the natural first inhabitant: the place the garden's own soil came from, not just the first thing planted in it.
It's also a working example of what "collaboratively grown, not centrally owned" looks like in practice — built in close, ongoing back-and-forth with the AusbilderInnen Community itself (Regine Thiering, Julia Zawidzki, and others), with its own quality criteria co-designed rather than imposed, and its own governance and roadmap staying exactly where they already were: with CODIP and the community it serves. Nothing about living in this garden changes that.
